Minutes of the June 2, 2009 regular meeting of the Town of Queensbury Parks and
Recreation Commission held at the Town of Queensbury Supervisor's Conference
Room
Chairman Irish called the meeting to order at 7:OOpm
Roll Call:
• Present— Conboy, Fusco, Irish, LaBombard, Maine, Mott,

• Staff—Director Lovering, Aquatics Supervisor Crossman

Approval of Minutes:
It was moved by Commissioner Maine, seconded by Commissioner Mott, to
approve the minutes from the May 5, 2009 meeting. All members present
approved.
Introduction of Gary Crossman as the new Aquatics Supervisor
Communications and Remarks from Visitors: (see file for copies)
• Queensbury Citizen Article regarding the new West End Park dedication
• Copy of resolution appointing Gary Crossman as Aquatics Supervisor
effective May 19, 2009
• Copy of e-mails between Supervisor Stec and Sean Quillinan regarding the
dry hydrant located at Glen Lake
• Copy of Year to Date Budget Report dated 5/28/2009
• No change on employee roster
Unfinished Business
• Gurney Lane Pool Repair Project—Phase I and Phase II are now completed.
Total cost of project -- $20,296.00 Eight or nine leaks found and repaired.
Painting is almost complete. Water scheduled for the end of week.
Additional work is needed. Possible to be done in fall.
• Ridge Jenkinsville Park Open House to take place on June 6t11 Full schedule
of events planned including food and drinks.
• Discussion on request from Queensbury Rowing Club—Attorney will be
drafting some ideas on a permit system. Insurance is standard for this type
of request.
• Old request—to use co-generation power and heated water at Gurney
Lane—prohibited by law to do so.

Executive Session—motion by Commissioner LaBombard, seconded by
Commissioner Maine to enter executive session at 8:05 pm. Chairman Irish
reported on interviews with employees. Motion by Commissioner LaBombard,
seconded by Commissioner Maine to end session. Out of executive session at 8:40
pm
Adjournment
Motion by Commissioner Mott, seconded by Commissioner Irish to adjourn at
8:46 pm Next meeting is July 28tH
