RESOLUTIONS
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUPERVISOR TO EXECUTE LEASE FOR NEW CATERPILLAR
936 WHEEL LOADER
RESOLUTION NO. 26 , Introduced by Dr. Charles Eisenhart who moved for its adoption,
seconded by Mr. Daniel Morrell:
WHEREAS, Paul Naylor, Town of Queensbury Highway Superintendent has determined
that a Wheel Loader is required by the Town efficiently and effectively to carry out
the programs of the Town of Queensbury Highway Department, and
WHEREAS, a lease for twelve months of a Caterpillar 936 Wheel Loader has been prepared
and reviewed by the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, the lease agreement, as amended, conforms with the provisions contained
in the General Municipal Municipal Law and has been approved by Wilson S. Mathias,
Town Counsel,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor of the Town of Queensbury is hereby authorized to
execute an equipment lease for one new Caterpillar 936 Wheel Loader in the form annexed
to this resolution, and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution together with the executed lease agreements
be forwarded to Southworth Machinery, Inc.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Dr. Eisenhart, Mr. Morrell, Mr. Olson
Noes: None

be rejected that were opened on January 8th 1985, on file...
RESOLUTION TO REJECT BIDS ON HIGHWAY GRADER
RESOLUTION NO. 27, Introduced by Dr. Charles Eisenhart who moved for its adoption,
seconded by Mr. Daniel Olson:

WHEREAS, the Town Board did advertise for bids for a used grader, and two bids were
received and opened at the specified time and place and turned over to the Highway
Supt. for his recommendation, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Paul Naylor has recommended to the Town Board that the bids be rejected,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby rejects the two bids as received for the following
reason that neither bidder met the specifications: 1. One bid received was bid on a
new grader not a used grader and Z. One bid was not bid as an installment purchase.

DEPUTY SUPERVISOR-The bids will be readvertised for a used grader as soon as possible...
TOWN CLERK-DONALD CHASE-We will also be advertising for bids for Chemicals for
the Water Plant, a new Dog Van, and tandem trailer as soon as possible...
DISCUSSION - A recommendation was made that used vehicles be sold this summer by
auction of the Town—The question was raised if next monday would be a holiday for
the off ice...Deputy Supervisor Olson announced that the Town would be observing Dr.
Martin Luther King Day, Monday January 21, 1985 as a Holiday and that the Town Offices
would be closed...
On motion the meeting was adjourned.
