REGARDING THE MANDATING OF USE OF MASKS
IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES

WHEREAS, by Resolution No.: 334,2021, the Queensbury Town Board required Town
employees to wear masks in certain circumstances due to the increased number of COVID-19
cases in Warren County, and
WHEREAS, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that the Statewide
indoor business mask-or-vaccine requirement that was implemented in December, 2021 has been
lifted as of February 1 Oth, 2022 and it will remain optional for businesses, local governments and
counties to opt into such requirement should they choose to do so, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has considered current trends regarding the number of
COVID-19 cases in the area as well as its options, and wishes to accordingly rescind Resolution
334,2021,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby rescinds Resolution No.: 334,2021,
and

BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
notify Town employees regarding adoption of this Resolution and take any other actions
necessary to effectuate all terms of this Resolution.

RESOLUTION MANDATING USE OF MASKS
IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES

WHEREAS,the number of COVID-19 cases are increasing again in Warren County, and
WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board believes it is important to the safety and well-
being of Town employees to require that masks be worn indoors in certain circumstances while at
the Town Offices,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT
RESOLVED, that masks will be required to be worn by Town of Queensbury employees in
the following circumstances:
1. While the employee is in a public setting, not at their work station;
2. When there is more than one person in a Town vehicle;
3. If you are not vaccinated,then masks must be worn at all times;
4. If you are in a situation where social distancing cannot be maintained; and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that all visitors entering any Town building will be required to wear a mask,
and
BE IT FURTHER,

RESOLVED, that each Department Manager, at their discretion, can require more stringent
mask-wearing than required by this Resolution, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
take any and all other actions necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution, including without
limitation,providing forms to employees relating to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
