Septic ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN PARTNERSHIP LLP 900 Route Clifton Park NY 12065 December 20, 2021 Town of Queensbury Planning/Zoning Dept. 742 Bay Road Queensbury, NY 12804 Attn: Craig Brown Re: Existing Wastewater System—43 Hanneford Road Dear Craig: At the request of Fritz Stefanzick, owner of property located at 43 Hanneford Road, I have been asked to provide a Septic System Certification as per the requirements of Zoning Ordinance - Chapter 179-3-040A(5)(e). Based on the review of the files and existing site conditions, and discussions with the Owner, I offer the following. Y On June 12, 1984 the Town of Queensbury Building Department issued a Septic Disposal System permit based on wastewater design plans. The design consisted of a 1000-gallon septic tank, a d-box and six (6) 301f distribution laterals. This sized system is adequate for the reported two-bedroom flow rate. A copy of the original Building Permit is attached. m The Town of Queensbury has subsequently issued several permits for projects associated with this property including BP 93-279 which provided a plan indicating the location of the existing wastewater system. A copy of the plan is provided herein. RC 74-2016, undertaken by the Stefanzicks, involved a residential addition that transformed the residence to a more suitable year-round residence with the bedroom count remaining at 2 bedrooms. A 1 have recently (12-16-21) inspected the system via the accessible ports of the septic tank and d-box. My review of the system, which has been in operation for over 37 years serving the year-round residence, was found to be in good condition. The septic tank appeared to be in good operating condition. It has a concrete baffle which is still solid and shows little sign of deterioration. The concrete d-box has 6 pipe outlets leading to the absorption field system. Appearance indicated normal operation. The area of the absorption field also appears to be operating normally as there are no indications of abnormal operation. ® The Owner has reported that over their thirteen years of ownership and operation he doesn't recall any abnormal conditions. They have provided regular routine maintenance (pumping/inspection) over the years. In addition, the operating condition of the system is properly maintained and appears to be providing satisfactory service to the residence. Components of the system (septic tank, d-box and absorption field) are all at known locations and accessible. It is my understanding that Mr. Stefanzick will soon be submitting an application for Zoning/Planning approvals for a house addition. As the proposed addition will not change the bedroom count in the house it will remain as a 2-bedroom flow rate. The existing wastewater system will continue to be a compliant system for the proposed use. This letter shall serve as the septic system certification required for those Zoning/Planning applications to proceed through the process. Please contact me with any further questions.
