EDWARD REARDON AS PART-TIME, ALTERNATE COURT OFFICERS

WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Justices have requested recommended that the Town
Board authorize the hiring of William VanNess and Edward Reardon as part-time, alternate Town
Court Officers, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board concurs with such hiring recommendation,
WHEREAS, Town Policy requires that familial relationships be disclosed and the Town
Board approve the appointment of Town employees' relatives, and Mr. VanNess is the brother of
Thomas VanNess, the Town's Deputy Highway Superintendent,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of
William VanNess and Edward Reardon as part-time, alternate Court Officers effective on or about
March 20t`, 2012 at the hourly rate of pay of $14.71 as set forth in Town Board Resolution No.:
365,2012, and subject to the Town successfully completing background checks as reasonably
necessary to judge fitness for the duties for which hired, and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes payment in the amount of$25.38 per
service to Messrs. VanNess and Reardon for service of any paper required by Town Court or any
Town of Queensbury Department, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Town
Justices and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any necessary forms and take any actions necessary
to effectuate this Resolution.
