The property has a main house with 3-bedrooms and a secondary cabin with 1- bedroom. The cabin does not have a bathroom; the bathroom that serves this cabin is situated in the westerly adjacent building, which is adjoined to the cabin by a porch walkway. Presently, the two buildings each have a lakeside wastewater system, which we suspect are cesspools, situated approximately 40&65 feet from the shoreline. It is proposed to remove these cesspools and to install a new packaged grinder pump station on the lakeside of the buildings and to pump the wastewater to a series of two'holding tanks, located on the roadside of the main house. These tanks will each have 2000-gallons of storage, which is in accordance with the town's sizing criteria for 4-bedrooms. Given the site constraints and seasonal usage, it is our opinion that holding tanks are the most practical solution for the parcel. Variance requests to the Local Board of Health are for the holding tank system installation and for shoreline setback relief to the grinder pump station and the forcemain. We respectfully request that this application be placed upon the Town Board's meeting agendas for the March meetings. It is our client's goal to perform the installation this spring.
