To, The Queensbury Planning Board
On September 91h 20211 was issued a stop work order for the partial clearing of trees
on 1048 rt9 in Queensbury. Unfortunately I was misinformed by several excavating
firms on what I was allowed to do without a permit. The previous owner had
removed most of the large trees, leaving stumps and debris on the property. My
intentions were to only grade the area, remove stumps, top soil and seed, but in the
process additional trees were taken down. The said area is now stable, graded, top
soiled and seeded. This has helped in my ability to professionally maintain the
property giving a more professional appearance.
Additionally, The property has for many years needed additional parking spaces for
the current tenant,Adirondack Audio. Currently trucks and cars have to park on the
grass and parking spaces owned by Louis Jewelers. This would also greatly help in
the snow removal. Moving the snow from the main entrances on both sides of the
building is a challenge. Rather then putting large piles of snow on the side of the
entrances, and blocking the view of drivers. The snow is pushed from the front
entrances to the back, so we don't block the vision of drivers going in and out onto
Rt 9. The additional pavement area and clearing is going to greatly help in allowing
us to push the snow as far away from the main road and the front of the building as
possible.
Thank you for your review of the proposal to add additional parking and lighting to
the rear of 1048 Rt 9.
