WHEREAS, the Queensbury Wastewater Director has advised that it is necessary to
refurbish Pump 43 at the Meadowbrook Road Pump Station(mechanism), and
WHEREAS, the Wastewater Director requested and received quotes for such
mechanism and the lowest quote is from Doty Machine Works dated December 1, 2021 in
the amount of$9,755 for basic repairs, and
WHEREAS, the Wastewater Director has requested additional funds/budgetary cost
of$7,000 for unforeseen repairs, for a total repair cost not to exceed $16,755,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the refurbishment
of Pump 43 at the Meadowbrook Road Pump Station by Doty Machine Works in
accordance with its quote dated December 1, 2021 presented at this meeting in the amount
of$9,755 for basic repairs plus an additional budgetary cost of$7,000 for unforeseen repairs
for a total cost not to exceed$16,755,to be paid from Account No.: 032-8120-4400, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the Town Budget Officer to
take all actions necessary to amend the Town Budget and effectuate the transfer of$16,755
from Fund 432 Undesignated Fund Balance to Account No.: 032-8120-4400 to fund such
work, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town
Supervisor to sign any needed documentation, and the Town Supervisor, Town Wastewater
Director and/or Budget Officer to take such other and further action as may be necessary to
effectuate the terms of this Resolution.

Clarifications:
This quotation is for basic rebuild only.The following items are included in the basic rebuild.
Bearings,hardware, locknut,lock washer, Chesterton 442-24 mechanical seal,Impeller/shaft
balancing,media blast,paint.
This quotation does not include additional services;fabrications or repairs not listed above.
Additional items found broken,worn or unservicable during inspection will be quoted
separately.These items may include but are not Iimited to:bearing frame,shaft,bearing covers,
impeller,volute,wear ring/surface,shaft sleeve,wear plate.
Pump will be delivered and picked up by the customer.
Pump will be washed and disinfected prior to delivery to Doty Machine.
Customer to supply new back plate and impeller to be installed during the repair.
Pricing:All prices are in US dollars.Price is good for 30 days and subject to prior sale of material.No taxes,tariffs or export
fees are included in this price.
FOB:Doty Machine Works,Fort Edward,NY. Any documents required for export are to be provided by customer.
Packaging:Preparation and packaging for shipment is not included in price unless specified above.
Delivery:Approximately 8 weeks after receipt of purchase order and certified drawings. This time may be extended due
to unexpected delays in delivery of customer supplied material or unanticipated changes in workscope. This estimate is
based on current workload.
