RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND RATIFYING ACCEPTANCE OF
DONATIONS FROM HUNTER HERRINGTON AND ROZELL INDUSTRIES
TOWARD CONSTRUCTION OF PUNCHEON AT MEADOWBROOK
PRESERVE

WHEREAS, Hunter Herrington advised the Town of Queensbury that he is working on an
Eagle Scout project to construct a 4' x 100' puncheon/floating walkway at the Town of Queensbury's
Meadowbrook Preserve, and
WHEREAS, the Town's Parks and Recreation Director is supportive of and has approved this
needed and desired project to be constructed in the Meadowbrook Preserve wetland areas where the
public has access, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Herrington earned $1,000 toward this project and offered to donate such
moneys to the Town of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, Rozell Industries also offered construction materials including boards, screws and
drill bits,with a donation value totaling $372,to complete such project, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board is honored by these generous offers, feels that such donations
will benefit Town residents, and therefore wishes to approve, authorize and ratify such donations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board, in accordance with New York State Town
Law §64(8), hereby approves, accepts and ratifies $1,000 in donations from Hunter Herrington, and
construction materials with a donation value totaling $372 from Rozell Industries, to be used toward
Mr. Herrington's Eagle Scout project to construct a puncheon/floating walkway at the Town of
Queensbury's Meadowbrook Preserve, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to deposit
the donations and increase the Donations Revenue Account No.: 001-0000-52705 and increase
Appropriations Account No.: 001-7110-4400 accordingly, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and/or Parks
and Recreation Director to send certified copies of this Resolution to Mr. Herrington and Rozell
Industries with letters from the Town thanking them for their generosity.
