TOWN I.T. COORDINATOR AND APPOINTING TOWN BUDGET

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to establish the position of Town I.T.
Coordinator to interface with the Town's I.T. vendors to assure:
• Maximum efficiencies and values for purchases of I.T. equipment;
• Appropriate I.T. response to I.T. needs, including capital projects;
• Review and reconcile invoices for work performed by I.T. vendors;
• Oversite of I.T. ticketing system request appropriateness and timely responses;
• Coordination of I.T. training to Town Staff,
• Development, maintenance and delivery of cyber protocols and cybersecurity;
• Management of Access Control System; including programming and inventory of access
control devices;
• Management of Town CCTV system and video archives;
• Oversight and maintenance of Town fleet monitoring system; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to appoint the Town's Budget Officer, Barbara Tierney,
to the position, and
WHEREAS, the duties and responsibilities of the new Town I.T. Coordinator position fall
outside the scope of the Town Budget Officer's current duties and therefore the Town Board wishes to
authorize an annual stipend for the Town I.T. Coordinator position in the amount of$5,000 for such
additional duties and responsibilities,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby establishes the position of Town I.T.
Coordinator and appoints the Town's Budget Officer, Barbara Tierney,to the position, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs that an annual stipend in the amount
of$5,000 be paid to Ms. Tierney as the Town's I.T. Coordinator (in addition to Ms. Tierney's annual
salary for the full-time Town Budget Officer position), and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, and/or
Town Budget Officer to complete any forms and/or documentation and take such other and further
action necessary to establish the position and effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
