JUSTICE COURT CLERK KERRIE LEWIS TO THE POSITION

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to establish the position of Town Court
Compliance Officer,which position shall be responsible for:
• Monitoring, overseeing and ensuring of Court/Court Staff training and compliance with
Office of Court Administration regulations/protocols;
Annual clerk continuing education requirements;
• All processes and procedures relating to dispositional and financial reporting including
Criminal Disposition Report, DNA database submission reporting, E justice, Justice
Court Fund, New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services, New York
State Department of Motor Vehicles and Web-DVS; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to appoint the Town Justice Court Clerk Kerrie Lewis,
to the position, and
WHEREAS, the duties and responsibilities of the new Town Court Compliance Officer
position fall outside the scope of the Town Justice Court Clerk's current duties and therefore the Town
Board wishes to authorize an annual stipend for the Town Court Compliance Officer position in the
amount of$5,000 for such additional duties and responsibilities,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby establishes the position of Town Court
Compliance Officer and appoints Town Justice Court Clerk Kerrie Lewis to the position, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs that an annual stipend in the amount
of$5,000 be paid to Ms. Lewis as the Town's Court Compliance Officer (in addition to Ms. Lewis'
annual salary for the full-time Town Justice Court Clerk position), and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Town
Justices, Town Justice Court Clerk and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any forms and/or
documentation and take such other and further action necessary to establish the position and effectuate
the terms of this Resolution.
