Chase Meeting Opened 4:33 P.M. PRESS: G.F. Post Star, WENU, WWSC Supervisor Walter- the purpose of this meeting is to appoint members to the Zoning Board and Planning Board. The Planning Board is meeting tonight and hopefully will have a quorum. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION TO APPOINT PLANNING BOARD MEMBER RESOLUTION NO. 59, Introduced by Mr. Daniel Morrell who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mr. Daniel Olson WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Queensbury Planning Board due to the resignation of Ronald Montesi, and t ' WHEREAS, the term does not expire until October 1, 1986, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of Queensbury hereby appoints Victor Macri of Queensbury to fulfill the unexpired term that ends October 1, 1986. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Mr. Olson, Mr. Morrell, Mrs. Monahan, Mrs. Walter Noes: None Absent: Dr. Eisenhart RESOLUTION TO APPOINT ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEMBER RESOLUTION NO. 6'0, Introduced by Mrs. Betty Monahan who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mr. Daniel Morrell: s WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Queensbury Zoning Board of Appeals due to the resignation of Sjoerdje Richardson, and WHEREAS, the term does not expire until September 14, 1984, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of Queensbury hereby appoints Michael Muller !� of Queensbury to fulfill the unexpired term that ends September 14, 1984. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Mr. Olson, Mrs. Morrell, Mrs. Monahan, Mrs. Walter Noes: None Absent: Dr. Eisenhart RESOLUTION OF SORROW RESOLUTION NO. 61 ,Introduced by THE ENTIRE TOWN BOARD : WHEREAS, Mr. George Crannell of Queensbury passed away on March 1, 1:984 and WHEREAS, Mr. George Crannell was the Town Clerk of the Town of Queensbury from October 1, 1962 through December 31, 1.969 and WHEREAS, Mr. Crannell served the residents of this Town in an exemplary manner as a true public servant, and - WHEREAS, Mr. Crannell was also an asset to his community through his involvement in many public service organizations, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury wishes to express to Mrs. Crannell and her family their sympathy on behalf of the Town Board and the residents of the Town of Queensbury on the passing of Mr. George Crannell, Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Mr. Olson, Mr. Morrell Mrs. Monahan, Mrs. Walter Noes: None Absent: Dr. Eisenhart DISCUSSION held in regard to the Planning and Zoning Board Appointments... Councilman Olson-regarding the two appointments that we made I wish to thank all the people that we interviewed, it is a good feeling to know that we have so many people in the Town who wish to serve on this type of a .Board. Councilman Monahan- It was a very difficult decision to make because there were so many outstanding candidates. Councilman Morrell- We are now going to have a good reserve of people to choose from... RESOLUTION DETERMINING COMPLIANCE WITH RESOLUTION NO. 267 OF 1982 RESOLUTION NO. 55, Introduced by Mr. Daniel Olson who moved for its adoption, seconded by Dr. Charles Eisenhart: WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 267 of 1982, Jerry Brown was authorized to obtain a license for the operation of a junkyard upon certain property off Warren Street in the Town of Queensbury and more specifically described in the aforesaid Resolution, which said license was issued upon specific conditions, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby finds that as of the date hereof the said Jerry Brown has complied with the express terms and conditions set forth in Resolution No. 267 of 1982, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby specifies that the findings herein are limited to compliance with Resolution No. 267 of 1982 and further that no findings are made herein regarding the compliance or noncompliance with the provisions of Local Law No. 4 regulating the operation of junkyards in the Town of Queensbury further specifies that the approval herein is limited to the operation of a junkyard business through and until June 30, 1984 and that such approval is not intended to authorize the operation of any business other than a junkyard on the aforesaid property, NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that upon the payment of Fifty and 00/100 Dollars ($50.00) by the said Jerry Brown, a junkyard license be issued to said Jerry Brown which license shall be valid up to and including June 30, 1984.
