PLANNING OFFICE
Thank you for allowing me to review the submitted site plan. With your permission,
would like to make the following comments to the Planning Board.
1) The site plan includes the use of a storage shed, which has been converted to an
office space. If the Planning Board chooses to allow this use, please inform the
applicant that he will be subject to the provisions of the New York State Uniform Fire
Prevention and Building Code.
The current non -conforming office space must successfully pass several inspections
from the Building Department and the Fire Marshal's Office.
2) There currently exists, on this site, or immediately adjacent to this site, a propane
tank that is regulated by the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention Code and the
National Fire Prevention Association. If the Planning Board chooses to allow this
use, please inform the applicant that if the propane tank is exposed to vehicular
traffic, the propane tank must be protected, as described by the Code.
Please inform the applicant that the Fire Marshal's Office is to make the
determination as to whether or not the propane tank needs to be protected.
3) If the Planning Board chooses to allow this use, please inform the applicant that
permits must be filed with the Town of Queensbury for any vented gas burning
appliance, or any solid fuel appliance found in the office.
Please inform the applicant that there is a $25.00 permit fee for each vented fuel
burning appliance.
Please inform the applicant that all six sides of the fuel burning appliance(s), the
entire length of the vent, any wall penetrations, and any fuel lines, in the office, must
also be inspected.
Thank You.
