RESOLUTION APPROVING AND RATIFYING MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT BETWEEN TOWN OF QUEENSBURY AND TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY UNIT OF CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION,
INC. (CSEA) REGARDING PROVISION OF T-SHIRTS & SNOW JACKETS

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury (Town) have entered into a Collective Bargaining
Agreement with the Town of Queensbury Unit of the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc.
(CSEA) regarding employment of the employees in the Town's CSEA Bargaining Unit for the period
from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the Town and the CSEA negotiated terms regarding the provision of upgraded t-
shirts annually and one snow jacket every two years to certain Bargaining Unit employees as set forth
in a Memorandum of Agreement signed by CSEA on 6/22/22 in substantially the form presented at this
meeting,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves, affirms and ratifies the terms
of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Town of Queensbury and Town of Queensbury Unit
of the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc. regarding the provision of upgraded t-shirts annually
and one snow jacket every two years to certain Bargaining Unit employees signed by CSEA on
6/22/22 in substantially the form presented at this meeting, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
execute the Memorandum of Agreement and/or any other documentation and the Town Supervisor
and/or Town Budget Officer to take such other and further action necessary to effectuate the terms of
this Resolution.

WHEREAS,the Town and CSEA entered into a Collective Bargaining Agreement for the period
from January 1,2O2Q through December 31, 2O23; and
WHEREAS, Section 7,b.of Article XIV of the Collective Bargaining Agreement provides, among
other items,for high visible T-shirts and a snow jacket to be provided to certain bargaining unit
employees; and
WHEREAS,the Town and CSEA desire to modify Section 7.b. of Article XIV of the Collective
BargainingAgreenmen1tnpnovidefnrupgrodedT'shirtsannuo||y, andunesnoxv'acketeverytvvoyearsto
certain baq§aining unit employees;
NOW,THEREFORE,the parties hereto agree asfollows:
1. The following shall be substituted for Section 7.b.of Article X|Vof the Collective Bargaining
Agreement:
"Employees designated 6vthe Town ho work outside inor near traffic situations shall be
supplied annually with six (6) high visib|eT^sh[rtuandnoe/1\sw/eatshirt,asvveOasone /1\

such employees shall be required towear. The T-shirts,sweatshirt, and xnnw«jacketshall
remain the property of the Town and will be returned to the Town if the employee no
longer works for the Tovvn."

Town, subject to availability to the Town, and that the Town may exhaust its current
inventory of the existing T-shirts by providing them to the newly hired designated
bargaining unit employees before being required to provide the newly hired designated
bargaining unit employees with the Tnw/n'a upgraded T-shids.
3. All other provisions of the parties' 3O2O-2O23Collective Bargaining Agreement shall remain
in full force and effect.
