I visited the job site this date and noted that the locations of the joist penetrations are in joist spans which are well within the structural span limits of 2 x l 0's at 16"o.c.. The placement of 4'-0"long,'/P thick plywood gussets on each side of the joists at drainage piping penetrations is adequate to maintain the structural capacity of the 2 x l0 joists for the spans in question. The glue joint is the key to stress transfer between the joist and gussets with the mechanical connection holding the members together until the glue sets.
