There is no fire stop shown in the attic area. You are allowed a maximum of 3,000 square feet open space in the attic area. The storage utility rooms are not shown as rated. The building code requires that these rooms have at least a one hour rating with three quarter hour fire doors. The fire protection plan is lacking the following items: a. all heat should be changed to smoke detectors b. there are no smoke detectors shown in the utility storage area, the office area,or the electrical room. c. There are also no strobes shown in the bathroom. d. Also the fire alarm system must be.tied in with the rooftop units to shutdown the rooftop units upon activation of the fire alarm system. 4. Once the aboveitems have been revised on the Cumberland Farms plan, this office will issue a building permit for the construction of the Cumberland Farms. As an aside to this, we also did a quick review on the Subway building, and the following items were noted and should be addressed prior to submission of plans for the Subway. 1. The restaurant with seating and standing capacity will exceed 100 people. Therefore, a sprinkler system must be provided throughout the entire building. 2. If the basement is to be used as storage, the basement ceiling must be rated,and all doors exiting,and the stairway leading to the interior of the kitchen area must be a rated. 4.
