The following questions reflect the criteria for granting this type of variance. Please complete them; use additional sheets if
needed.
1. Whether an undesirable change will be produced in the character of the neighborhood or a detriment to
nearby property will be created by the granting of this area variance?
No, granting of this variance will not result in an undesirable change in the character of the neighborhood or nearby
properties, as the shed would have limited visibility from public roads or adjoining properties.
2. Whether the benefit sought by the applicant can be achieved by some method, feasible for the applicant
to pursue, other than an area variance?
Applicant has considered all available options and a small shed for pool storage is the most aesthetically pleasing and least
intrusive option. Six foot door opening is needed should a ride -on mower be stored, but size and placement show that no
vehicular storage would be feasible.
3. Whether the requested area variance is substantial?
The requested area variance is not substantial.
4. Whether the proposed variance will have an adverse effect or impact on the physical or environmental
conditions in the neighborhood or district?
This project will not have an adverse effect on existing conditions, as projects of a similar nature have already been completes
5. Whether the alleged difficulty was self-created?
Yes, the difficulty was self-created.
