Michael Palmer,
Please see the following comment response for review comments received from the Plan Review for the Starbucks
Coffee submission to be located at 607 Aviation Rd, Queensbury Rd 12804:
1. Verify fire extinguisher location and inspection. Fire extinguisher is located in the workroom per sheet
1101, keynote#21.
2. Verify location of exit/emergency lighting. Function test will be required. All exit signs and-
emergency lighting are.shown on architectural sheets 1103 8t 11011 (RCP& Lighting plans) and electrical
sheet E102. Function test will be coordinated with on site GC team and Starbucks Construction manager.
3. Verify paths of egress. Paths of egress are shown on sheet G002. There are (2) exits located in the cafe
for em'ployee:and customer egressing as well as (1) exit in the workroom.
4. Verify storage. There will be a new standard walk in cooler installed that is,replacing.the existing cooler
like for like.
S. Verify clearances to the electrical service panels. The electrical panels are located within their own .
separate area in the workroom along the rear shell wall. They:all have 3' clear for access.
6. CO detection is required, if source is present._ There are no new CO detectors called out as we are re-
using equipment and plan to keep the existing.
7. ,Verify Knox Box keys.are correct. We have added a general note on sheet G001 for the GC to confirm
this item in the field.
8. Verify exterior emergency light function. GC to verify condition of.all exterior_emergency lighting on
site and replace if necessary.A general note has been added to,sheet 1103.
9. NFPA 72 letter of compliance required if any changes or relocation of.fire alarm devices. This will
need to be submitted by the fire alarm contractor as this.is a delegated design. We have informed the CM
to coordinate this item.
10. NFPA 13 letter of compliance required for any alterations to'the sprinkler system. This will need to
be submitted by-the sprinkler vendor as this is a delegated design. We have informed the CM to
coordinate this item.
11..Contractor to exercise caution and provide protection for all fire alarm and sprinkler devices,

Mark Smith,
Please see the following comment response for review comments received from the Plan Review for the Starbucks
Coffee submission to be located at 607 Aviation Rd, Queensbury Rd 12804:
1. Please provide the specifications for the grease trap that is being installed. Please see attached for
reference. The unit is a Schier GB-25.
2. What company will be performing the HVAC air balancing. Northeast Heating, Cooling &
Refrigeration Co., Inc.will be performing the HVAC air balancing at this site.
3. The access aisles at the handicap parking spaces shown on the site details page A-005 must be at
least 8'wide as stated in the 202ONYS building code section 1106.1.1. We have called out an 8' min
dimension at the HC accessible space plan west and the two spaces that are plan east are existing with a
dimension of 11'wide as shown on A005. All spaces are existing, however we are doing some re-striping
to accommodate a buffer zone around the seating area.
4. The slope of the ramp leading to the cafe area is not stated on the plans. A pitch not steeper than
one unit vertical in 12 units horizontal is required as stated in the 2020 building code of NYS
section 1012.2. The ramp.slope is indicated at detail 5/A501. The ramp slope is intended to be no
steeper than 1:12 as stated above.
5. - A 22"x 30'access to the dead space in the walls at the top of the ramp to the_cafe area will be
required. As discussed, sheets 1103 and 1501.1 have been revised to include fire stopping GWB inside
shaft wall adjacent to ramp.:
6. Please provide worker compensation information for all contractors who will be working at this
site. Please:see attached for worker compensation information.

GENERAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS control Reber Max Load
Schier grease interceptors are rated and manufactured with an internal plate
flow control system. They do not require an external flow control system O
or air intake vent.Schier grease interceptors are not to be installed in any
other manner except as shown.Consult local codes for separate trapping
requirements, cleanout locations and additional installation instructions.
1. The flow control plate is installed on this unit,When the unit is
installed in a low flow/low head pressure condition(with a flow rate
below 25 GPM),the flow control plate maybe removed.Consult a Riser Installation
Schier Representative before removing flow plate. (see page 4 for more details)
2. Set unit on level solid surface as close as possible to fixtures being served.
3. Connect outlet diffuser to the desired outlet(A,B,C).Unit is shipped with FLOWCONTROL EXCAVATIONAND

head screw driver.Jigsaw, circular saw or reciprocating saw will be
needed if risers need to be cut
Riser Assembly Instructions/Steps
1. If unit is to be buried, you will need an SR16 Riser Kit(sold
separately). The 16 Series TeleGlide Riser System for these
models allows riser heights from 2-1/8'above standard unit up
to 16'. Only ONE riser may be used per base unit to allow for
sufficient access to internal serviceable components.
2. If more than 16'of riser height is needed, you will need to
adjust jobsite requirements OR purchase the next available
model with a 24 Series TeleGlide Riser System which allows
for taller riser heights.
3. Once unit is set so that pipe connections line up withjobsite Riser Installation step 3
piping, remove cover from the unit. Fasten yellow gasketed SR16
Gasket Ring to unit with hardware provided in separate riser kit.
Ring flange with 4 bolt notches faces down agains the unit
4. Push riser into ring until it stops(about 1 inch).
5. Measure the distance from the top edge of the riser down to the Measure'x'
finished floor. Make sure to account for any future tile work in
your measurement. Install Riser X°
Finished
6. Remove the riser from the ring.Take measurements from step 5 f Floor
and measure from the BOTTOM of the riser upwards towards the i
top of the riser. Mark aline around the riser at this level and cut with
a handsaw, jigsaw,or reciprocating saw. Remove debris from the
cutting edge with a scraper,utility knife,or leather gloves. ❑
7. Place the cut riser back into the ring on the unit until it stops. an
Fasten cover from unit onto the top of the riser with the same
four bolts that were connecting it to the top of the unit.Unit is
ready to be water tested and backfilled.Install finished floor.
