Town Clerk, Donald A. Chase- The bids for General Construction and Heating,ventilating and Air Conditioning were opened at 2:00 P.M. on 7-31-84 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION BIDS Adirondack Construction - $35,900.00 F.T. Collins Construction - $38,000.00 F.Fisk Construction - $28,500.00 Bid Securities, Non Collusion Certificates and Corp. Resolutions were included in all bids submitted. HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR CONDITIONING Crisafulli Bros. - $14,544.00 Hollisters - $18,877.00 Latham Heating - $13,400.00 Bid Security, Non Collusion Certificate and Corp. Resolution were included in all bids received. Mr. Paul Cushing, Architect- (ltr.) We have reviewed the bids received this date for General Construction Work and Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning Work for Renovations for Town Court. As the low bidders for each contract are all in order, we recommend an award to F.Fisk Construction, Inc. in the sum of Twenty Eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($28,500.00) for General Construction Work; similarly, we recommend an award to Latham Heating and Air Conditioning Corp. in the sum of Thirteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($13,400.00) for Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning Work. Councilman Eisenhart- What does this add up to? Mr. Paul Cushing- $53,825.00 Deputy Supervisor, Olson- Is that for the completed project? Mr. Cushing- No, one of the items that we took out of the General Construction Work was the floor covering. The preliminary costs for that portion will be around $3400.00. Deputy Supervisor Olson- These bids are more in line with what the estimates were... Councilman Monahan- I will abstain from the vote because Fisk Construction does business with our firm... 214 RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT BID ON GENERAL CONSTRUCTION AND HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR CONDITIONING FOR RENOVATION OF POLICE OFFICES TO COURT FACILITY RESOLUTION NO. 186, Introduced by Dr. Charles Eisenhart who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mr. Daniel Morrell: WHEREAS, the Town Board for the Town of Queensbury did recommend that we advertise for bids for General Construction and Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning for renovation of Polcie Offices to Court Facility, and WHEREAS, bids were submitted and received and opened at the specified time and place by the Director of Purchasing/Town Clerk Donald A. Chase, and such bids were then turned over to Mr. Paul Cushing, Architect for his recommendation, and WHEREAS, Mr. Paul Cushing, by letter, has recommended that the bid be awarded to F. Fisk Construction, Inc. for General Construction and Latham Heating and Air Conditioning Corp. for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby accepts the bid of F. Fisk Construction, Inc. in the amount of $28,500.00 and Latham Heating in the amount of $13,400.00 , and be it further RESOLVED, that the financing for such material is included in the 1984 Town Budget. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Dr. Eisenhart, Mr. Morrell, Mr. Olson. Noes: None Absent: Mrs. Walter Abstain: Mrs. Monahan On motion the meeting was adjourned.
