Mr. David Menter, owner of the Wakita Motor Court (Wakita), has retained the Environmental
Design Partnership, LLP (EDP) to obtain all permits/approvals necessary to facilitate a proposed
commercial expansion of his existing property. An existing motel is located on Mr. Mentor's
property which is in the Town of Queensbury, Warren County, New York. The proposed project
site is a 6.0 f acre parcel of land located on the east side of U.S. Route 9 at its juncture with
County Route 17 (Round Pond Road) (Latitude: 430 20.915', Longitude: 7:30 41.388'). Of the six
total acres, the project will develop approximately five acres. The proposed project clu Os the
construction of a new 85-unit, three-story hotel and an associated 102 parking spaces,
project components include landscaping, lighting and storm water management facilities.
Attached for your review is a basemap showing the existing site condition:; and a site layout plan,
both of which, contain a USGS quadrangle map showing the project location.
Please, at your earliest convenience, provide us with any comments regarding the project's
potential to impact or effect historic and/or prehistoric cultural resources. The Town of
Queensbury Planning Board's approval is pending comments from your organization.
