In response to C.T. Male's e-mail of May 261h, we have made revisions to the subdivision plans
and have the following responses:
1. The area of ACOE wetland disturbance has been added to the Landscape Plan. The entry
landscaping on the east side of the new road has been eliminated to avoid additional wetland
impact. However individual trees in the mapped wetland have been left since tree planting is
an allowed activity within the wetland and not considered an impact.
2. 1 have added a pair of Wetland Rock Filters at the outlet of the storm drain serving two catch
basins at the low point of the boulevard entry road. I am enclosing an article from Watershed
Protection Techniques published by the Center for Watershed Protection which documents
that this treatment method is quite effective in treating phosphorus and nitrogen. A detail for
the Vegetated Rock Filter has been added to Sheet S-7.
3. The Stormwater Basin Outlet detail on S-8 has been expanded to cover the entire basin.
4. The attached Landscape Plan shows that the entrance landscaping on the east side of the
entrance road has been moved to eliminate the impact to the wetland.
5. Notes have been added to S-6 showing the requested erosion and sediment control measures
for individual lot development.
6. The Planning Board agreed with the proposed use of the boulevard entry.
7. Enclosed is a worksheet showing the current layout for the sewer connection to the northerly
most existing manhole on Meadowbrook Road. This is based on the most current information
from the County's consulting engineer for the layout and profile of the new road connection.
Final details will be coordinated with the County and the Queensbury Sewer Department.
Attached is a complete set of the revised plans showing the revisions described above and in my
previous response letter of May 23'd. I am sending a complete copy directly to Jim Houston at
C.T. Male for his review.
