Nace Engineering, P.C. 169 Haviland Road Queensbury, NY 12804 Re: Freshwater Wetland GF-23 Dear Mr. Nace: To fulfill your request, DEC Bureau of Wildlife staff inspected property for freshwater wetlands on June 19, 2002. The property that was inspected is located between Bay Road a4d Meadowbrook Road in the Town of Queensbury, Warren County. The property includes a portion of the freshwater wetland GF-23 or the I00 foot adjacent area. A portion of the wetland boundary was delineated with ribbon by Charles Maine. A DEC freshwater wetlands permit will be required to proceed with planned development if it includes any form of fill, excavation or clear - cutting of vegetation (to name the most commonly applies} -for restrictions) in the wetland or its 100 foot adjacent area. The enclosed map shows the approximate location of the wetland. The wetland survey shows the wetland to be different than that shown on the DEC freshwater wetland regulatory map for Warren County. The additional wetlands, including the area on southeast corner along Meadowbrook Road will be proposed for amendment to the maps using established procedures. The additions remain non -jurisdictional until an amendment is begun by the Department of Environmental Conservation. Whether or not a freshwater wetlands permit will be required, you are responsible for determining if any other local, state or federal permits are required for the project(s). For information regarding permits administered by the Department of Environmental Conservation, please contact the Division of Environmental Permits at the office nearest you.
