Dear Chris:
In response to C. T. Male's review letter of May 21', we have the following responses and have
revised the layout plan for the temporary septic systems as follows:
1. I have shown the most current site layout plans for Lots #4 & #5 on the revised Temporary
Septic System Drawing #46148-TS1 (enclosed). Accordingly, I have relocated the sewer
laterals, septic tanks, pump stations and overflow tanks to facilitate the removal of the
temporary system and connection to the municipal sewer. I will show the temporary septic
system layout on the Layout Plan (drawing S-1) for North Country Academy Day Care when
I submit the final plans to the Town of Queensbury for the Zoning Administrator's signature.
2. The force main route has been coordinated with the current site layout for Lot #4.
3. The subsurface absorption system layout has been rotated to better conform with existing
grade contours.
4. A 50% reserve expansion area has been shown on the drawing.
5. A look back at some old drawings indicates that test pit 92 is located in the area of an old
house that has been torn down. The "miscellaneous fill" noted in the test pit was probably
material used in filling the foundation hole. Although the "miscellaneous fill" at test pit 42
looked suitable for a septic system, I have moved the absorption field away from the area of
the house in consideration of the fact that we don't know for certain that no building
materials such as wood or old floor slabs were buried.
