This is a single-story one-room log addition to an existing residence. 2. Floor joists 2"x10", 16" O.C. with clear span of approximately 12f1. will provide for a satisfactory total dead and live load of 50 PSF. 3. Roof support Js by pre-engineered trusses 24" Q.C. with a pitch of 5" in 12" on the exterior roof surface. The truss manufacturer shall be responsible for the design and construction of all trusses to support a live load of 48 PSF normal to the roof surface plus all dead loads of roofing, lumber, insulation and ceiling finish. The contractor shall be responsible for the installation and bracing of all trusses per instructions from the truss manufacturer. 4. There is no basement---only crawl space with sand floor. Foundation walls are 8" wide concrete blocks on' 16"x8" reinforced concrete footings at least 48" below grade. The new 8" concrete block foundation walls shall be securely anchored (vertically) to the existing concrete wall with a minimum of three (3) %" rebar dowels per vertical 8" wall, each 4"into new 8"block and 4"into existing concrete wall(epoxyed in place). The new 8"block is to have cores filled with concrete from footing to top of wall at joints with the existing concrete wall. The new 8" concrete block walls to have two (2) vertical#4 rebars 61-7ft. O.C. from footing to top of waif-;(under cap) and in the two block wall corners. The block cores, at rebar-locations, are to be filled completely with concrete from footing to top of wall(under cap). All new block mortar is to be Type M or S and new walls are to be keyed or doweled to the footings. 5. Ceiling height and insulation are acceptable as noted on plans. 6.
