413.2022 Requesting Warren Co Treasurer to Add Sums to Property Tax Bill Re 32 Homer Avenue Property RESOLUTION REQUESTING WARREN COUNTY TREASURER TO ADD SUMS TO PROPERTY TAX BILL REGARDING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 32 HOMER AVENUE RESOLUTION NO.: 413,2022 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. George Ferone WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Timothy McNulty WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury sought enforcement of the Queensbury Town Code and the Property Maintenance Code of the State of New York against Judy Pontiff regarding premises situated at 32 Homer Avenue, Queensbury, NY, Tax Map Parcel Number 302.8-1-31, in Supreme Court, Warren County, and WHEREAS, Supreme Court issued a Judgment dated May 4, 2021 and filed in the Office of the Warren County Clerk on May 4, 2021 finding that the premises constituted a public nuisance and authorizing the Town of Queensbury to bring the premises into compliance with the Town Code and the Property Maintenance Code and to charge all such costs against the Defendant as a lien against the real property at issue, to be collected by the Town in the same manner as real property taxes and to be treated as such for all purposes, and WHEREAS, the Town has expended the sum of Thirty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($39,345.00) to abate the violations and to bring the property into compliance, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby requests that the Warren County Treasurer add the sum of Thirty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($39,345.00) to the 2023 real property tax bill for Tax Map Parcel 302.8-1-31 and collect such sum in the manner as all other real property taxes, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED , that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to take any further measures required to implement the intent of this Resolution in a form approved by Town Counsel without further Resolution of this Board.
