ESTABLISHMENT OF ROCKHURST SEWER DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the Lake George Association (LGA) is an organization dedicated to the
protection and safeguarding of Lake George, its water quality and the overall health of the Lake
George Watershed and has awarded certain grant funding related to projects to help protect Lake
George's water quality, and
WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board is considering establishing a North
Queensbury/Rockhurst Community Sewer District(Project), and
WHEREAS, the LGA wishes to grant $45,000 to the Town toward such Project, and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to accept such Grant funds to be used toward the costs of
engineering studies and/or preparation of a Map,Plan and Report,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby accepts up to $45,000 in Grant
funding from The Lake George Association (LGA) toward establishment of a North
Queensbury/Rockhurst Community Sewer District to be used toward the cost of engineering studies
and/or preparation of a Map,Plan and Report, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further increases estimated revenues and expenses as
follows:
• Increase Revenue in Other Economic Assistance Account No.: 001-0000-51989-
0038 by $45,000; and
• Increase Expenses in Engineering Account No.: 001-1440-4720-0038 by $45,000;
and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to
amend the Town Budget, make any adjustments, budget amendments, transfers or prepare any
documentation necessary to increase such appropriations and estimated revenues and effectuate all
terms of this Resolution, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
execute any needed Agreement between the Town and The LGA and/or any other needed
documentation and the Town Supervisor, Town Counsel and/or Town Budget Officer to take such
other and further action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
