IT go through each item in my previous letter, dated August 1s, 2000, to describe the conditions for each item which need to be addressed before we can issue a permit. The drawings submitted by Mike Bunts and his connnents do not show where fresh air will come from for the offices. The Code requires that it be outside air. Therefore, we need a drawing showing an outside duct, or a clarification of the drawing is submitted to show where the outside air will come from for the air exchanges within this building. The new exit corridor constructed from the mezzanine to the exterior must have three quarter hour rated doors at top and bottom There is no mention of these doors being rated. That should be addressed in a door schedule which shows the upgrades required for that exit corridor, f, l!} We need a complete floor plan showing the rack layout and the width of the aisles and G location of the aisles leading to the exits, so that the Fire Marshal can make an adequate determination of where exit signs should be placed on the drawing. You may have your architects provide the exit signs as they feel necessary. Assuming this will be high rack storage, the exit sips will have to be hung from the ceiling and be visible from all parts of the r warehouse by a pets on in an emergency to look at the exit light and be directed to the nearest M � ` emit, It is also our recommendation that F.W. In a response from your architects, they stated that the wall types should be Type I, and the doors should be "C' Labeled. This needs to be shown on the plans as a Type I Wall, and the doors need to be labeled "C' Labeled doors, If they do not meet that requirement at this time, they must be upgraded. Either way, they must be shown on the door schedule and the floor plan so that we make sure that the existing walls, as well as the new walls, are all of the same type construction. As built sprinkler drawings are needed with a stamp or letter of approval from a design professional. 6. Fire extinguisher needed in the kitchen_ 7. All fire doors need closers installed, these doors must be closed at all times, if you wish to keep these doors open, smoke detectors and magnetic hold open devices will need to be installed. 8_ All fire extinguishers must be hung_ 9. A fire sprinkler, alarm, HVAC Shut down, and power louver test must be successfully completed. 10. A fire sprinkler will be needed over the safe.
