Fawcett : In response to your recent complaint regarding the unfortunate error made in the installation of your septic system around the month of June 1985 , we have researched your permit filed . Upon review of your file there is no record of an inspection being done at the time of installation of your 1 , 000 gallon septic tank and 10 ' x 6 ' x 6 ' drywell . Mr . Scarpellino , the contractor , should have notified this office when the system was ready for inspection and maybe the costly mistake could have been avoided . If you have any record of an inspection being performed , I would appreciate your forwarding a copy of the inspection slip so we can update your file . The inspection of septic systems and the steps taken to make sure they are installed accordingly has greatly improved since 1985 . I assure you , if this was installed today Mr . Scarpellino would have dug it up or faced court action if he did not comply . If you have any further questions regarding this permit or your possible future home , feel free to call . Also , I have enclosed a copy of all the documents that were in your permit file . Si cere , c Sohn {3 ' B n Building oning Officer JOB/mg "HOME OF NATURAL BEAUTY . . .
