Complete the following items listed below:
1) Complete fire separation as discussed at 2nd floor connector
to house. Apply 1/2" fire code sheetrock on both side of wall tight
to floor and tight to underside of roof sheathing and apply a bead
of fire caulk the entire top of sheetrock at roof sheathing. Also
apply tape on all joints with one coat of taping compound and mud
all screws.
2) Install a 20 minute fire rated insulated door with self latching
and closing hardware at fire separation as discussed.
3) Install 36" high solid guardrail around stair opening at 2nd floor
as discussed.
4) Install a 34" minimum height solid guardrail on open side of
stairs.
5) Install a continuous handrail from top to bottom of stairs a
minimum of 34" high with the ends returning in on the guardrail at
the top and bottom.
6) Andy I forgot to mention this the stair risers have to be closed.
Install a strip of wood so the gap between steps is not more than
4".
7) Read manual for gas fired suspended space heater to make
sure that the wall firestop is installed correctly and the vent is the
required distance from combustibles at wall sheathing and eave.
Andy once these items are complete call me for reinspection so
we can get this permit totally closed out.
