WHEREAS, the Confidential Administrative Secretary to the Town of Queensbury's Highway
Superintendent has submitted her resignation, and
WHEREAS, the Town Highway Superintendent has recommended that the Town Board
authorize the appointment of Mark DeMers to the position of Confidential Administrative Secretary to
the Town Highway Superintendent,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby appoints Mark DeMers to the position
of Confidential Administrative Secretary to the Town Highway Superintendent effective on or about
December 5t', 2012 at an annual salary of $35,000 contingent upon Mr. Demers' successful
completion of a pre-employment physical as required by Town Policy, drug and/or alcohol screening,
any applicable Civil Service requirements, an eight (8) month probation period, and the Town
successfully completing a background check as reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the
duties for which hired, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that such appointment shall expire December 31, 2013, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Highway Superintendent and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any forms necessary to effectuate
the terms of this Resolution.
