The pumping chamber should be designed to have a minimum capacity equal to the estimated daily volume of waste. (See Fig . 3 ) (7 ) Construction of Wisconsin Mound System Once the mound has been designed and the location established , the con- struction should begin on a day when rain is not likely and when most of the construction can be completed that day. The first step is to install the pressure main from the pumping station and backtamp the trench to pre- vent effluent from following the tr nch back from the mound _ Next , the entire area of the mound and the ied should be staked off and areas de- signated for stockpiling sand and gravel .
