Maggie Cong the engineer who designed the ventilation system
stated the work at Tina's Nails has not begun. Due to the
language barrier I did not understand what the owner was trying to
explain to me this morning at our counter. I explained to Maggie
that I will need her or the contractor once hired to coordinate the
inspections that will be required to obtain a certificate of
occupancy. See the list below for the required inspection.
- Sealing of all duct work.
- Fire caulk penetration thru fire rated walls.
- HVAC Air Balancing of the Tina's Nails space due to new
ventilation system.
- Witness operation of ventilation system.
- Final Electrical Inspection for all new wiring supporting
ventilation system.
- Design Engineer's Final Approval of ventilation system stating
that the system was installed in accordance with the approved
engineered plans and specifications.
- Fire Marshal's Final Inspection.

I am contacting you regarding your building permit that has
expired. The building permit was for the installation of a new
ventilation system for manicure and pedicure stations. If the work
is complete there should have been inspections done by the
Town of Queensbury Building and Code enforcement Department.
If you have not done the work but still plan to please come into our
office and renew your building permit. The renewal fee is $110.00.
Please contact us immediately on the status of the project.

11/29/23 As per my inspection today the ventilation system for the
manicure tables and pedicure chairs is incomplete and the
building permit is expired. The owner will stop by the office
tomorrow to renew the building permit and I will contact the
contractor to go over what needs to be done to close out the
permit and issue the Certificate of Compliance.
