Building Inspector Notes False 10/3/22 As per my preliminary visit to Gary Glomb's property at 66
Rockhurst Rd the following has been discussed and will be
required.
1) A holding tank was installed back in in the late 80's early 90's
without a septic system permit. It is believed it is a 1500 gallon
concrete holding tank with traffic top. There is no alarm system or
water shut off connected to the holding tank.
2) We will need to perform the property transfer inspection to verify
the flow of all plumbing fixtures to the tank and then pump the tank
to verify the size of the tank which is is somewhat full.
3) The inlet to the holding tank will need to have a traffic manhole
cover installed to increase the size of the opening in order to
inspect and complete installation of the alarm system with floats.
4) The alarm system and solenoid wiring will need to be
inspected by a certified electrical inspector.
Note: I will have a discussion with John Strough the Town
Supervisor on whether we need to have Gary Glomb file for a
septic system variance for a preexisting undersized holding tank
with property line setback relief, or do we have him just install the
proper alarm system and water shut off due to proposed
Rockhurst community septic system to be installed in the near
future.
