Since final inspection is necessary before issuing a Certificate of Occupancy, it is imperative that you arrange for a final inspection within the next seven (7) days. You must understand, Mr. Barber, that it is not the intent of this department to allow occupancy without a Certificate of Occupancy. To do so is putting your life and home in jeopardy should something, such as fire, etc. happen before obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy, not to mention the legal ramifications involved. If at the end of this seven (7) day period, you have not arranged for a final inspection, this department will take whatever legal action necessary to bring about compliance, including fines and an Order to Vacate if necessary.
