WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation (Director) has requested that the
Queensbury Town Board authorize the purchase of certain snow removal equipment for the
Department of Parks and Recreation's use to maintain its nine (9) separate parking lot areas during the
winter months to provide public access to winter recreation areas, and
WHEREAS, the Director obtained quotes for such equipment (snow plow and sand/salt
spreader) and the lowest received quote is in the amount of $9,492 from T&T Body King of
Queensbury as set forth in T&T Body King's quote dated January 8t', 2013 and presented at this
meeting, and
WHEREAS, the Director has therefore recommended that the Town Board approve such
purchase from T&T Body King of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS,there are sufficient funds in the Town Budget for such proposed purchase,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves the purchase of a snow plow
and sand/salt spreader for the Department of Parks and Recreation's use from T&T Body King as set
forth in T&T Body King's quote dated January 8t', 2013 for an amount not to exceed $9,492 to be
funded from the Equipment/Vehicle Replacement Capital Project Fund 4195, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Director of Parks and Recreation and/or Town Budget Officer to take such other and further action as
may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
