WHEREAS, on January 1, 2013 there was a vacancy in the Office of Town Board Member,
Ward 2 Councilperson, and
WHEREAS, under New York State Town Law §64(5), the majority of the Town Board is
authorized to appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy in the office of Town Board Member, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to fill the vacancy in the office of Town Board Member
(Ward 2 Councilperson), and
WHEREAS, the Town Board finds Brian Clements to be qualified to hold the office of Town
Board Member(Ward 2 Councilperson),
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby appoints Brian Clements as Town
Board Member(Ward 2 Councilman)until expiration of the term(commencement of the next calendar
year), and
BE IF FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and Town
Clerk to take all actions necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
