SUPERVISOR WALTER- THE MONIES TAKEN FROM THE GENERAL FUND WILL BE REPLACED
AND THAT WILL BE AN ADDED FIRE TAX IN .JANUARY. . .
DISCUSSION HELD ON STONEMERE SUBDIVISION-ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
SUPERVISOR WALTER- REVIEWED THE PROJECT WITH THE TOWN PLANNING BOARD
BEFORE ANY DECISION WAS MADE. . . MR. BRANDT WAS PRESENT AT THIS MEETING. . .
WE ALSO USED THE SERVICES OF A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER WHO REVIEWED THE
INFORMATION THAT WAS SUBMITTED. THE PLANNING BOARD DECLARED NO SIGNIFICANT
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT WOULD RESULT FROM THIS DEVELOPMENT PROVIDING THAT THERE
IS DETAILED PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION THAT ARE CARRIED FORWARD IN SEVERAL
AREAS WHERE THEY DECLARED THEY WANTED MR. BRANDT TO TAKE PARTICULAR ACTION .
THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT WAS STUDIANLYETO THE TWENTY-THREE ACRE SITE
OF THE STONEMERE AND NOT THE COMPLETE PROJECT AS PLANNED, OVER THE ENTIRE
-- MOUNTAIN. THE PLANNING BOARD FELT THEY WOULD CONSIDER ONLY THAT PORTION ,
THAT WAS WHERE THE INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED, THERE WAS
NOT ANY DETAILED INFORMATION FOR THE UPPER PORTION OF THE MOUNTAIN .
MR. BRANDT- NOTED THAT THIS WAS A NEW PROCESS FOR EVERYONE , INCLUDING THE
PLANNING BOARD AND THE TOWN BOARD , THERE IS NO SET PROCESS . . .
SUPERVISOR WALTER- IT WAS DETERMINED THAT IN THE AREA WE ARE TALKING ABOUT
OFF THE WEST MOUNTAIN ROAD WHERE STONEMERE IS ANTICIPATED THAT THERE WOULD
BE PUBLIC WATER FROM THE TOWN AND SEPTIC TANKS WOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE
THE SEWAGE. . . THERE WERE RECOMMENDATIONS RELATIVE TO THE SEWAGE SYSTEMS. . .
AS I HAVE INDICATED BEFORE THE INFOIMATION THAT WAS PRESENTED SPECIFICALLY
DEALT WITH THE LOWER PART OF THE MOUNTAIN , AND WITH THESE SPECIFICATIONS
THAT THERE WOULD BE ' NO SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT. THERE WILL BE
A THIRTY DAY PERIOD FOR COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC. . . I WOULD LIKE TO ADD
THAT THIS IS A NEW PROCESS SET DOWN FROM RULES AND REGULATIONS UNDER THE
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND WE ARE DEALING WITH IT NOT
VERY OFTEN. ANY DEVELOPMENT COULD IN FACT HAVE AN AFFECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT,
IF ONE WISHES TO SPLIT HAIRS, I THINK WHAT WE HAVE TRIED TO DO IS LOOK AT
IT OBJECTIVELY. THIS PROCESS, THE TOWN BOARD IN GOING TO THE PLANNING BOARD
WHO HAS ON MORE OCCASIONS THEN THE TOWN BOARD, D611-T WITH THESE THINGS AND
THEY HAVE LOOKED AT IT. THEY LOOKED AT THE TRAFFIC, FELT THAT WHAT IS
AVAILABLE AS FAR AS ROAD SYSTEMS ARE CONCERNED COULD HANDLE THE INCREASED
TRAFFIC , THEY HAVE TAKEN SPECIFIC PROBLEMS THAT COULD OCCUR WITH ANY KIND
OF A DEVELOPMENT AND LOOKED AT IT AND DID ASK FOR SOME REVIEW ON THESE
TYPE THINGS AS SEPTIC SYSTEMS FROM A PROFESSIONAL PERSON. I THINK WE HAVE
LOOKED AT IT IN DEPTH AND IF IT IS THE BOARD' S WISH TO AGREE WITH THE
PLANNING BOARD THAT THERE IS NO IMPACT I WOULD ASK FOR A RESOLUTION. . .
COUNCILMAN MORRELL- I AM IMPRESSED WITH YOUR FORESIGHT AND YOUR PLANNING
THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS THAT HAVE GONE INTO THIS THING. OPENED UP MANY
PEOPLES EYES TO THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE IN THE FUTURE , I PERSONALLY
COMMEND YOU ON THAT.
RESOLUTION DECLARING NO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

COUNCILMAN OLSON- QUESTION WHO WOULD THEN OWN THE PARCEL OF PROPERTY?
