252.2013 Extention Six Flags Liquor License RESOLUTION SUPPORTING EXTENSION OF SIX FLAGS GREAT
ESCAPE RESORT PROPERTIES' EXISTING LIQUOR LICENSE AS
REQUIRED BY NEW YORK STATE LIQUOR AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, Six Flags Great Escape Resort Properties (Six Flags) owns and operates The
Great Escape Theme Park and Great Escape Lodge on State Route 9 in the Town of Queensbury,
New York, and has a valid liquor license, and
WHEREAS, Six Flags has advised the Town Board that it will hold fireworks shows on
Friday and Saturday nights at the Great Escape from July 19th to August 10th'2013 and during the
time of the show(s) and an hour preceding, it wishes to entertain its Lodge Guests in a secured
location of the parking lot at Johnny Rockets and serve beer and wine, therefore, requesting an
extension to its existing liquor license, and
WHEREAS, Six Flags has requested that the Town of Queensbury support such liquor
license extension as required by the New York State Liquor Authority (NYS),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Clerk
to notify Six Flags Great Escape Resort Properties and/or the New York State Liquor Authority that
the Town supports Six Flags' extension to its existing liquor license from July 19th to August 10th,2013
as set forth in the preambles of this Resolution and that the Town Board has no objection to such
license extension, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, and/or
Town Clerk to take any actions necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
