WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to accept the loan of an eagle sandstone
statue which was originally at the top of the Civil War Monument located at the corner of Bay and
Glen Streets in the City of Glens Falls from the City of Glens Falls, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board is honored to display such eagle statue and appreciates the
City's loan of the eagle statue to the Town, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to authorize the expenditure of funds for costs associated
with the transport and installation of such eagle statue at the Town Office Building,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and authorizes the loan of an
eagle sandstone statue which was originally at the top of the Civil War Monument located at the corner
of Bay and Glen Streets in the City of Glens Falls from the City of Glens Falls and the expenditure of
funds for costs related to the transportation and 'installation of such eagle statue at the Town Office
Building, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to amend
the Town Budget and/or take any actions needed to provide for such installation costs and any other
costs associated with the hosting of the eagle statue on Town property, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to sign
any needed Agreement and/or documentation associated with the loan of the eagle statue and the
Town Supervisor, Deputy Supervisor John Strough and/or Town Budget Officer to take such other
and further action as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
