FOR ENTIRE LENGTH OF DIXON ROAD

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board and Town Highway Superintendent support a
lowering of the speed limit on the entire length of Dixon Road in the Town of Queensbury from 40
miles per hour to 35 miles per hour,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby requests that the maximum speed limit
on the entire length of Dixon Road be lowered from 40 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour for safety
reasons, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, in accordance with Vehicle and Traffic Law §1622, that the Town Board further
authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor's Office to forward a certified copy of this Resolution and
any other necessary documentation to the Warren County Department of Public Works and/or New
York State Department of Transportation for the purposes of studying and establishing a lower
maximum speed limit on the entire length of Dixon Road in the Town of Queensbury.
