During the preparation for the footings for the new center column, conduit lines were discovered under the slab in the location of the new column footing. To avoid the conduits the footing location was lowered to allow the column to pass alongside an sit on a footing below the conduit. The area between the top of the footing and the bottom of the slab will be filled and tamped. This is a satisfactory alternative to that shown on the plans. The end column was moved approximately 6" and the footing was extended under the freezer to accommodate the move. This too is a satisfactory modification.
