MAY BE ADDED TO THIS BUILDING WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF
HEALTH AND REDESIGN OF 'THE SUBSURFACE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. THE SEAL AND

ACCUMULATION BY THE HOMEOWNER OR A QUALIFIED SEWAGE HAULER. THE
AMOUNT OF BUILD-UP NOTED AT EACH INSPECTION SHOULD BE RECORDED AND
MAINTAINED BY THE HOMEOWNER. THE TANK SHALL 13E PUMPED WHENEVER THE
BOTTOM OF THE SCUM LAYER IS WITHIN 3" OF THE 130TTOM OF THE OUTLET
BAFFLE OR SANITARY "T". THE PUMP -OUT CLEARANCES ALSO APPLY TO ANY
CHAMBER IN MULTI -COMPARTMENT TANKS OR TO TANKS IN SERIES. MOST Tt'.NKS
SHOULD BE PUMPED OUT EVERY TWO TO THREE YEARS.
WHEN SEPTIC TANK IS PUMPED, THE SEPTIC TANK, BAFFLES/TEES, HOUSE SEWER
CONNECTION AND OUTLET SHALL BE INSPECTED. BAFFLES/TEES THAT HAVE
DETERIORATED AND NO LONGER PERFORM AS DESIGNED SHALL BE REPLACED.
CRACKED OR BROKEN LINES MUST BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
ANY COMPANY EMPLOYED TO CLEAN AND SERVICE THE SEPTIC TANK MUST BE A
DEC PERMITTED SEPTAGE HO.ULER. SEPTIC TANKS SHOULD NOT BE WASHED OR
DISINFECTED AFTER BEING PUMPED OUT.
SEPTIC TANK ADDITIVES SHALL NOT BE USED IN THE SEPTIC SYSTEM. ADDITIVES
ARE UNNECESSARY FOR THE PROPER OPERATION OF HOUSEHOLD SYSTEMS AND
MAY CAUSE THE SLUDGE AND SCUM IN THE SEPTIC TANK TO BE DISCHARGED
INTO THE ABSORPTION FIELD, RESULTING IN PREMATURE FAILURE.

THIS DESIGN IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE SUBSURFACE SEWAGE DISPOSAL ONLY FOR
THE LOT IT IS SHOWN ON. NO ADDITIONS INVOLVING LIVING OR SLEEPING AREAS
MAY BE ADDED TO THIS BUILDING WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF

ACCUMULATION BY THE HOMEOWNER OR A QUALIFIED SEWAGE HAULER. THE
AMOUNT OF BUILD-UP NOTED AT EACH INSPECTION SHOULD BE RECORDED AND
MAINTAINED BY THE HOMEOWNER. THE TANK SHALL 13E PUMPED WHENEVER THE
BOTTOM OF THE SCUM LAYER IS WITHIN 3" OF THE 130TTOM OF THE OUTLET
BAFFLE OR SANITARY "T". THE PUMP -OUT CLEARANCES ALSO APPLY TO ANY
CHAMBER IN MULTI -COMPARTMENT TANKS OR TO TANKS IN SERIES. MOST Tt'.NKS
SHOULD BE PUMPED OUT EVERY TWO TO THREE YEARS.
WHEN SEPTIC TANK IS PUMPED, THE SEPTIC TANK, BAFFLES/TEES, HOUSE SEWER
CONNECTION AND OUTLET SHALL BE INSPECTED. BAFFLES/TEES THAT HAVE
DETERIORATED AND NO LONGER PERFORM AS DESIGNED SHALL BE REPLACED.
CRACKED OR BROKEN LINES MUST BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
ANY COMPANY EMPLOYED TO CLEAN AND SERVICE THE SEPTIC TANK MUST BE A
DEC PERMITTED SEPTAGE HO.ULER. SEPTIC TANKS SHOULD NOT BE WASHED OR
DISINFECTED AFTER BEING PUMPED OUT.
SEPTIC TANK ADDITIVES SHALL NOT BE USED IN THE SEPTIC SYSTEM. ADDITIVES
ARE UNNECESSARY FOR THE PROPER OPERATION OF HOUSEHOLD SYSTEMS AND
MAY CAUSE THE SLUDGE AND SCUM IN THE SEPTIC TANK TO BE DISCHARGED
INTO THE ABSORPTION FIELD, RESULTING IN PREMATURE FAILURE.
