All areas of soil disturbance resulting from the project must be seeded with an appropriate perennial grass seed and mulched with hay or straw immediately upon completion of the project. 40. The lakeward limit of the toe(base) of the rip-rap must not extend into the water more than 6 feet when measured horizontally from the top of the rock fill (top of the bank). 41. The top of the rip-rap fill must be no wider than one foot or one rock width, whichever is greater. The rock rip-rap must not be used to extend waterfront property. 42. The rip-rap must be sloped one foot vertical to 1 %2 feet horizontal or flatter. 43. Any eroded bank must be covered with filter fabric and staked in place, before placement of the rip-rap. 44. Rock used for rip-rap must be clean (not contain any material that can pass through a No. 8 sieve). The rock must be angular and not less than 6" in diameter. Placement of fill other than rock is not authorized by this permit. 45. If turbidity may be created as a result of this project, a silt screen curtain (maximum opening of US Sieve No 70) continually weighted across the bottom and suspended on floats or staked upright must be positioned to surround the work site. The curtain must remain in place for at least 12 hours after all construction phases have been completed or longer, if necessary.
