PART-TIME LABORER FOR TOWN TRANSFER STATIONS

WHEREAS, the Town Transfer Stations maintain a roster of part-time employees who work
on an on-call basis when needed, and
WHEREAS, funds for such positions have been budgeted for in the Town Budget, and
WHEREAS, Matthew Barton has expressed an interest in being placed on this roster, and
WHEREAS, the Landfill Equipment Operator has recommended to the Town Board that
Matthew Barton be hired as a part-time Laborer to work on an "on-call" basis at the Town Transfer
Stations, not to exceed 20 hours a week, and
WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to hire Matthew Barton as a part-time
Laborer to work on an"on-call"basis at the Town Transfer Stations, not to exceed 20 hours a week,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of
Matthew Barton as a part-time Laborer on an on-call basis, not to exceed 20 hours per week,
commencing on or about July 8t', 2014, subject to the Town successfully completing a pre-
employment physical and background checks, including drug and/or alcohol screenings, as
reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the duties for which hired, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that such Part-Time Laborer shall be paid $13.26 per hour as set forth in Town
Board Resolution No.: 462,2013 to be paid from the appropriate payroll account, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Landfill Equipment Operator and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any forms and take any action
necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
